Wednesday Night Highlights: The Scarf

Notes:
1. This is a slideshow
2. I apologize for barely posting but now that I have gotten a hold of things again I will be posting at least twice a week.

Wednesday Night Highlights by brightlightsbrightlife on polyvore.com

First off: Clever title am I right?
It took me a while to think of it.
Just applaud at your desks.

Tonight I am highlighting scarves.
As the colder weather comes around again you can not help but feel dismayed as you hide away those short-shorts that you have been happily donning all summer.
That is, until you pull out your scarves.

Scarves add a pop of color to a bland outfit
they also add warmth but in a chic way.

The slide with all the plaid scarfs is showing the hot prints of fall. (plaid, leopard, and emerald green)
The slide with all the circular things is showing some types of infinity scarves. Infinity scarves basically are scarves for people who have not yet mastered the challenging process we call putting on a scarf in the correct way. Basically, infinity scarves were made for me.
The last remaining slide is showing some of my favorite scarves.
I NEED the fox one.
( I am literally a three year old)
I also NEED to know how to knit so I can make my own scarf
(Unfortunately, due to my past attempts I do not think that is happening anytime soon.)

Kiera

Back to School Shopping: Backpacks

backpacks

Vintage backpack
$39 - bankfashion.co.uk

American Apparel strap backpack
$77 - americanapparel.eu

Herschel Supply Co backpack

Herschel Settlement Backpack - Grey/Yellow Rubber
$86 - coggles.com

When you go to a school with a set uniform like me, a backpack is one of the few things that shows who you are and what you like.

That is why picking a backpack is a very important choice and involves A LOT of thought.

Here are some of my favorite backpacks this fall.
Want a backpack to go with every outfit? The classic leather bag is for you.
Want a bag that will brighten up the halls? The neon striped backpack is the one you want.

My only backpack tip for you is as much as you might want to stay away from trendy bags that you will become sick of because you will be seeing a lot of your backpack for the next nine months.

Fall Fashions

Heads up! This is a slideshow.

Emerald Green and Beanies.

These are two of my favorite fall trends this year.

The Wizard of Oz knew best when he picked emerald as the name/ color of the capital city. It is

gorgeous. It can be sophisticated and fun AT THE SAME TIME!

If you are not yet convinced to run out to your nearest store and pick up some glittering emerald colored

pieces then you are hopeless.

I am so excited for beanies this fall.

With a beanie on not only will your ears be warm but you can spruce up any outfit.

Try a bright beanie for a pop of color

or if you want to get a message across write it on a beanie

you know that saying that goes something like

"It was so obvious that you could have written it on your forehead?"

Well now you actually can!

Wise words of the day?

When in doubt put a beanie on it.

The Fast and Fab - The Guide to Last Minute Outfits For the 4th

Wake up and smell the sunshine (if that's possible)
July 4th is tomorrow
and you need a great outfit.
You probably do not have the time or the money to go and buy a special outfit but never fear here are some ideas that involve some clothes you probably have at home.

If you do not have american flag shoes at the ready I recommend pairing this outfit with sandals or oxfords.

No daisy flower crown?
No worries.
Make your own using the DIY posted Here or if you are feeling patient pick some flowers and attempt to tie them together.

So, for this months favorites collage I decided to do something different.
Instead of making a wish list I decided to do a "recommend list".
This is a list of products that I already have that I love or if I don't have them I have seen them/ smelled them and like them.

1. Every girl needs a chub stick to get her through life. I recommend "super strawberry" by Clinique for subtle yet gorgeous lips.

2. I am obsessed with these shoes (if you could not already tell from my multiple posts in which I am wearing them). They go with literally everything and are super comfortable. Plus you can wear them all seasons.

3. This case adds a bright "POP" of color wherever you go. It is also indestructible. I actually ran straight over my phone on my bike and both the case and the phone were as perfect as can be.

4. I have loved this perfume for a long time. Is it the scent or is it the chic design of the bottle? I will never know. What I do know, however, is that every year I put this perfume on my christmas list and every year I do not get it. Feel free to want to end this bad streak and give it to me.
5. Yes, I am aware it is summer and that in summer you do not wear hats but if I had this hat I would wear it all summer because it is too cute to take off.

6. These sunglasses add a hipster/ retro spin to any outfit. If only I could pull them off.

YES, I AM OUT FOR SUMMER!

I have made yet another polyvore.....
the second one in a row
if you are getting sick of them don't worry
I promise an outfit post is coming soon

anyway,
I have picked some pieces inspired by alice in wonderland
It was more inspired by the queen of hearts and her scary heart minions
not alice.
Sorry, Alice, but your blue and white tunic was too much a copy of cinderella's dress.

Sum-more Fun

Summ-er Fun

Tenny shoes
americanapparel.net

Wrap dress

See what I did there?
Sum-more like some more and summer at the same time.
Clever, Clever.
Anyway I have decided to write a letter to summer in hopes that by sharing my feelings it will come faster.

Dear Summer,
Come faster.
If you don't it might be a disaster.
Goodbye school.
Homework is cruel.
Especially when you can be swimming in the pool.

I would give up class any day
to feel again the sun's strong waves.
Bring me bikinis and sunnies galore
I will trade you for those large puffy coats I no longer adore.

Summer hear me out.
as my problems foldout.
four days is too long to wait.
come on lets negotiate.
How about two days?

The ending is a little rough but I am working on it.

As school comes to a close the students of the world have to start thinking about a very important question:
Graduation Dresses.
I have had quite a lot of trouble this year finding the perfect dress for graduation.
I looked far and wide throughout this large space we call the internet
I even visited my favorite place: Bloomingdales
yet, nothing seemed to excite me.
So, for all of these people going through the same problem I had.
Here is some inspiration.
I like all these dresses but I would have to say my favorite is the oasis patterned dress.
now it is time to reveal my graduation dress/es
I still haven't decided.
1.

Prudance Evil Eye Dress --> Dolce Vita
pictures: bloomingdales.com

and 2.
Sleeveless A-Line Embroidered Dress by, Bar III
                                                      picture:Macys.com

You might be wondering:
How is she going to wear two dresses to graduation?
The answer is I will not.
My plan:
1. Buy both
2. Have them shipped
3. Try them on
4. Choose which one looks better on me
DO YOU HAVE A PREFERENCE?
IF SO
