I had an epiphany the other day.
No, it was not the solution of world peace epiphany but it was close to it (sort of)
I realized that I have had this blog for almost a half of a year and in this half of a year I have not really told you anything about myself. To solve this problem I will be playing the 20 questions thing that is going around every social media site/app.
Luckily for you guys with this version of 20 questions there is no answering or asking involved all you have to do is read.
1. My name is Kiera spelled K-I-E-R-A not K-E-I-R-A. (Keira Knightly ruined it for everyone).
2. I am ALWAYS cold.
Darn it, I am already stuck.
3. I am a freshman in high school.
4. I have always wanted to be a mouse for Halloween.
5. I used to have a deathly fear/hatred for pickles
Who would blame me? They are cucumbers with warts on them.
6. I like to run for fun.
7. I have been taking mandarin at school for 5 years and know very little.
8. Summer is my favorite time of year
9. Christmas is my favorite holiday and it is not just because of the gifts.
10. I love sweaters. I especially love cashmere sweaters.
11. I plan my christmas list months in advance. (I currently have one going.)
12. I am currently redoing my room. (I have been doing it for 5 years but it is actually happening now)
13. My best subject is English.
14. My worst subjects are languages/ anything that has to do with memorization.
15. I can keep a secret.
16. My pet peeve is when people state really obvious facts. (i.e "it's raining" when it's clearly raining)
17. I am really scared of sharks and lightning
18. I once had to run 2 miles in a lightning storm (I have never run so fast in my life)
19. I correct people's grammar in my head. (If I did it out loud it would be annoying.)
20. I need to eat while I am doing homework (It's just too boring.)
*Phew* that was hard. However, I must admit I had some help from my friend the internet.

Notes:
1. This is a slideshow
2. I apologize for barely posting but now that I have gotten a hold of things again I will be posting at least twice a week.

Wednesday Night Highlights by brightlightsbrightlife on polyvore.com
First off: Clever title am I right?
It took me a while to think of it.
Just applaud at your desks.
Tonight I am highlighting scarves.
As the colder weather comes around again you can not help but feel dismayed as you hide away those short-shorts that you have been happily donning all summer.
That is, until you pull out your scarves.
Scarves add a pop of color to a bland outfit
they also add warmth but in a chic way.
The slide with all the plaid scarfs is showing the hot prints of fall. (plaid, leopard, and emerald green)
The slide with all the circular things is showing some types of infinity scarves. Infinity scarves basically are scarves for people who have not yet mastered the challenging process we call putting on a scarf in the correct way. Basically, infinity scarves were made for me.
The last remaining slide is showing some of my favorite scarves.
I NEED the fox one.
( I am literally a three year old)
I also NEED to know how to knit so I can make my own scarf
(Unfortunately, due to my past attempts I do not think that is happening anytime soon.)

A teenagers perspective of New York Fashion Week: Zang Toi, The Runway and Just Being There
On Tuesday night I had the honor of going to Lincoln Center to see designer Zang Toi's runway show for New York Fashion Week.
Zang Toi is a designer from Malaysia who's designs are classic and elegant.
It was such a cool and unforgettable experience and of course I took A LOT of pictures (like a whole photo album full)
All the photographers who are taking photos for anything jam into this side of the room. It looks just a bit squished!
The room was filled with benches and at your part of the bench sat a goody bag with a playbill-ish list of the names of everything that the models wore from Zang Toi's collection and other things.
Here is what mine looked like:
The show was supposed to start at 7 but ended up starting at 7:30.
Here are some pictures from the show. I recommend watching a video of the excellent beginning of the show. You can watch some on Youtube.
Here are some pictures of the actual show. The collection was called Ballet Babe.
I did not take this picture. It is from global grind.com^^
This board is literally the mecca of all NYFW Instagrams.
One of the coolest parts of NYFW is not just the styles on the runway but the styles of people who are watching the show. I saw everything from sweatpants to ball gowns to halloween themed costumes there.
Can you guess what this lady is wearing on her head?
It's an old fashioned floral swim cap with a chic twist!
This was truly an experience that I will not forget and I am super excited to go to more of it next year.

They build this whole building just for the week and then take it down again ( I wonder where they store all the pieces)
I wore a leather vest from Joe Fresh, a white ruffle-collared shirt from Ella Moss (a favorite of mine), and my new favorite jeans (maroon high waisted jeans from Pacsun) and suede wedges from Steve Madden.
This is as close to the runway as I will ever get (a.k.a on the runway)
The room all filled up!

The designer, Zang Toi, even got a chance to strut on the runway!
One of the best parts of the show was all the FREE stuff!
I received nail polish and cool socks from the show. I also got a lot of drinks from around the main area as well as a collection of magazines. Most everything there was free for you to take so of course, I took it.
Here is my stash.

Back to School Shopping: Backpacks
Herschel Settlement Backpack - Grey/Yellow Rubber
$86 - coggles.com
$86 - coggles.com
When you go to a school with a set uniform like me, a backpack is one of the few things that shows who you are and what you like.
That is why picking a backpack is a very important choice and involves A LOT of thought.
Here are some of my favorite backpacks this fall.
Want a backpack to go with every outfit? The classic leather bag is for you.
Want a bag that will brighten up the halls? The neon striped backpack is the one you want.
My only backpack tip for you is as much as you might want to stay away from trendy bags that you will become sick of because you will be seeing a lot of your backpack for the next nine months.
