Guest Blog #2 - Get That Flower Headband DIY Tutorial

 It's Camille again :)

Let's get your head looking pretty.
By the time spring/summer rolls around don't you just want to run around in a flowered dress with flowers in your hair?
So, why not make it happen?
Flower crowns are just so C'est tout simplement magnifique.
So, I decided to let you all in on my secret to making them, and it's so easy.
Thank you Free People U Village.
And pretty soon you'll be prancing around in meadows with a crown of your own.

What you'll need:
*Spools of pretty ribbon, or any strand of anything. I got 3 colors of ribbon and a strand of pearls.
*Faux Flowers
*Scissors
*A hot glue gun

This only takes 10-15 minutes tops.
Ready, Set, GO.

1. Choose your ribbon. Pick out 3 or more pretty strands (these will be braided later on.)
The more you choose the thicker the crown.

2. Measure the ribbon, it should be able to wrap around your
 head twice.
And snip it with those scissors.

3. Tie your ribbon together in a knot and anchor it down.
*I recommend a heavy book*
4. Begin braiding the ribbon together until you reach your desired length.

5. Once you've finished braiding, knot the end of it.
After that, separate the flowers you want from the stem, leaving about an inch attached.

6. Place the flowers on crown as desired.

7. Then, taking a glue gun put a dot of glue right beneath the petals.
Slide the flower through the middle of the braid and seal it with a dob of glue in the back.

*Those hands below obviously aren't mine. And if you thought they were go see an eye doctor, you may be visually impaired.*
8. Wait for the glue to dry, otherwise you'd have a permanent flower crown stuck to your forehead, which may result in forehead irritation and funny stares when you go to the ER.
Once it's done tie the two ends together and.....
Voilà!!
You're done.
And now you can channel your inner fairy and go rock that flower crown.
Go live your own version of a Midsummer's Night Dream.
Although, I don't recommend kissing any donkeys...but it's really up to you.
 Xoxo
Camille
